Victoria - wise beyond her years

Victoria was born in March 1994 to Jack Sugden and his then fiancee Sarah Connolly. Victoria made an big impact from the very beginning when, just days after she was born her cries woke her grandmother Annie Sugden from the coma she had been in after being injured in the plane crash.

In May 1994, Victoria's parents Jack and Sarah married. Weeks later, Victoria stopped breathing due to a hole in her heart. She had to have an operation but made a full recovery.

When Jack found out Sarah was having an affair, Jack refused to allow Sarah access to the children so she began a custody battle.

Years later, Victoria discovered that Jack had been accused of killing Sarah who died in the barn fire and is shocked to hear that Andy Sugden was actually responsible.

Victoria has rebelled, throwing herself at Aaron Livesy and Daz Eden but is going through a quiet phase although new pal Amy will certainly change that.

Isabel Hodgins

Isabel Hodgins is the third actress to play Victoria Sugden - she took over the role in 2006.

She has been acting and dancing since she was 4 years old and made an appeal in the Salford Advertiser for funding so she could spend a year at the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School in London.

Isabel has been nominated for several awards including Best Newcomer at the TV Choice and TV Quick awards in 2007, Best Young Actor at the Inside Soap awards in 2008, and Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards in 2009.

She won the Spectacular Scene of the Year award in 2009 for the scene where Victoria falls through the ice and discovers the body of Shane Doyle.
